Tatiana Monaghan, Secretary General ICC Russia

Ms Tatiana Monaghan has been General Secretary of the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce — World Business Organization since 2000.
From 1991 to 1996 she worked as a senior advisor for the World Economic Forum (Davos, Switzerland) on Russia and CIS countries. Based on her initiative Russia and other CIS countries became involved in active participation in this Forum. In 1996 Ms Tatiana Monaghan was invited to work at the International Chamber of Commerce — World Business Organization (Paris, France), where she headed the Russia and CIS Division. Due to her personal initiative and involvement, the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce has been operating since 6 May 2000. This initiative is considered extremely important both for the international and for the Russian business community. The Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce that was among the first toraise the issue of Russia’s joining World Trade Organization (WTO) and was the first in the country to conduct a study on the topic “Influence of Russia’s Membership in the WTO on Seven Sectors of the National Economy”. Also, in partnership with the RF Economic Development and Trade Ministry, it initiated research — quite unique in terms of practical value and the number of regions involved, on “Russia, WTO and Interests of Business”.
Since 2003 Ms Tatiana Monaghan has been a member of the Working Group on Russia’s membership of WTO under the auspices the RF State Council. In 2004, on initiative and personal involvement of Ms Tatiana Monaghan, the Institute for Legal Rights of Property and Enterprise Foundation was established.
Ms Tatiana Monaghan is the permanent head of the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, having been the ICC Russia Secretary General since its establishment.
