Rules, Standards, Recommendations
The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and its Russian National Committee develop a large number of various documents: rules, standards, practical guidelines, recommendations, analytical reports and market studies. These documents are intended for banks and legal community as well as for exporters, importers, and all other parties, involved in the process of global trade. Beyond helping to avoid confusion that comes from the conflict of legal provisions in different countries, they make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises to integrate in the international business community and to operate on the world markets.
This area of work of the International Chamber of Commerce aims to make the process of doing business simpler and clearer, as well as to assist the promotion of the best international practice.
First global rules for documentary credits were published by ICC in 1930. Since then the International Chamber of Commerce has expanded its activities: its portfolio presently includes more than 60 current versions of official publications on trade finance, along with more than 500 other documents.
The Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce also offers market participants its recommendations. Thus, in November 2017 ICC Russia introduced bank guarantee forms recommended by the ICC Russia Banking Commission for use in the context of commercial contracts signed in Russian law framework. This is the product of an intense collaboration between the members of the Banking Commission and the Commission on Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Russia.
Here you can find rules, standards and recommendations that will help to optimize your work and make it even more effective.
